It Backfires on Mnangagwa's Rigged Election
When Mnangagwa returned from his China trip, the country was in turmoil. The economic situation in Zimbabwe has plunged to its worst. Fuel shortages have hit the country, basic food/goods shortages in the shops, drug shortages in hospitals and clinics, cholera outbreak in the high density areas, price hikes and as if its not enough, the banks notified customers that certain online payments are no longer accepted. The uncertainty in Zimbabwe is increasing and this repels potential investors and business. As the opposition leader Nelson Chamisa said, you can rig the election but you can't rig the economy.
